Translational Medical Oncology is a clinical unit of Medical Oncology specifically dedicated to the treatment of solid and hematological human neoplasms with special attention to the design and activation of clinical studies from a translational perspective (Early Clinical Trials – Phase I) and in phases more advanced evaluation of the clinical efficacy of innovative drugs (Phase II and III).
Translational Medical Oncology is also active in the Re.Ca.Tur Project (Rete Calabrese Tumori Rari) for the biological and molecular characterization of rare neoplasms and therapeutic individualization based on the most modern technologies. In this context particular attention is paid to the study of multiple myeloma and breast and ovarian neoplasms BRCA-mutated or in the context of other hereditary syndromes.
